The Afton Museum completed the exhibit showing our recently discovered wedding dresses of the women of Afton. Dating back to as early as the 1830s these wedding dresses showed the styles of wedding dresses and some of the stories of the women that wore them.
The museum was awarded a grant for new LED lighting from the Lower St. Croix Valley Community Foundation. The old florescent and halogen lights have been removed and the new LED track lighting is in place for both the main floor and the balcony. The new lighting has made a huge improvement in the look of the displays, eliminated the harmful UV energy emitted by the old lights and is a big energy savings. Thanks to the LSCV Community Foundation for their support of the museum.
