Interpretive Coordinator
The Afton Museum has an opening for a part time / temporary position as our Interpretive Coordinator. This person will support our recently funded Interpretive Plan project.
- This position starts immediately and will end on December 31st, 2024.
- Qualifications:
- Works well with others including outside consultants and their project managers.
- Has good organization skills.
- Must have a good understanding of the museum’s collection, procedures, and policies.
- Flexible schedule.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365 tools like Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of PastPerect museum software.
- Duties will include (but not limited to):
- Will coordinate off-site workshops.
- Create advertising and mailings to solicit attendees for focus group workshops.
- Respond to requests from outside consultant for information, reports, and materials.
- Research the museum’s collection as requested by the outside consultant.
- The hourly rate is $30.00 per hour.
- The total time allotted for the project is 252 hours.
